João V. Ferreira is an Associate Professor in Economics at the School of Economic, Social and Political Science of the ÃÛÌÒTV, Department of Economics.
His main research interests are in behavioural & experimental economics, public economics, political economy, social choice theory, business ethics, and economic philosophy.

In general, I combine theoretical and experimental tools on three main research agendas:
​I am also interested in the intersection of these topics and other subjects such as welfare measurement and behavioural change interventions like nudges and boosts.
I completed my Ph.D in Economics at Aix-Marseille University (AMSE). I was then a Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Rennes 1 (CREM) and the University of Lyon 2 (GATE).
I joined the ÃÛÌÒTV in 2019.
