Many applicants choose to use the services of an education agent when applying to study with us. Agents can assist with the application process, as well as visa applications, travel and accommodation arrangements.

The University uses two categories for fees: the lower ‘UK (home)’ fee and the higher ‘International (overseas)’ fee.   

The amount you'll have to pay depends on several criteria.   

The 'UK (home)' fee applies to certain categories of student. The fee level you'll have to pay depends on whether you meet certain criteria.

The University's Admissions Team will decide your fee status based on relevant fees regulations.   

Apart from the information given in your application, we may ask you for additional details about you and your family to help us assess your fee status. If needed, we'll ask you to complete a Fee Status Questionnaire.

Any student applying for the first year of a full-time undergraduate course must apply through UCAS (University and Colleges Admissions Service). 

Your school or college will usually support you with your UCAS application. However, if your school or college isn't registered with UCAS or you are out of education, you will need to apply to UCAS directly via the .   

You can apply if you have not yet completed your qualifications or met our English language requirements. We'd still be able to consider your application.

Congratulations if you have been made an offer from Southampton.

If you receive an offer to study, we'll send you an invitation to an offer holder Visit Day and Virtual Visit Event. This will depend on your course and the time of year you apply.

Offer Holder Visit Days generally take place from January to April.
