Teaching mainly on studio-based modules with an interest in developing students creative thinking strategies through lateral thinking methodologies and how reflection and documentation in the Graphic Designers sketchbook can support the creative process of exploration, research, and experimentation. Using a workshop approach to encourage open ended exploration of process, making, risk taking and testing of ideas through group work and set problem solving. Further areas of teaching interest include the inclusion of opportunities for students to engage and work with assessment criteria through peer reviews, self-reflections, and assessment of samplars to further students’ assessment literacy and how it connects to the creative process. With an aim to develop students’ ability to self-regulate and provide constructive peer feedback.

As an Educator through HE literature, PGCAP studies, funded OFS research I have developed teaching methodologies that support and encourage students creative thinking, ability to self-regulate, assessment literacy and supports international students transition to UK HE. Further developing and innovating in approaches to online and blended learning, continue to put best practice into place post Covid-19 that use asynchronous, synchronous, and virtual learning environments to better support students learning journey. Disseminating and sharing best practices through staff workshops, CHEP events, and national conferences. A sound understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) through various roles including Director of Programmes, Module Conveyor, Academic Integrity office (AIO), Academic Appeals officer (AAO) and External Examiner (EE).
