Ìý Entry requirements

This information is forÌýgeneral guidanceÌýonly; entry requirements vary for different courses.ÌýFor more specific details, please visit the relevant course web page or contact the admissions office for your chosen subject area .

Foundation year entry requirements

International Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate degree in management, humanities, arts and social sciences) West African Examination Certificate, achieving at least five subjects withÌýan average of C6 or above. For Economics, Finance or Management degrees a B3 in Maths is required
Engineering Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in engineering, physics, computer science and geophysics) West African Examination Certificate, achieving at least five subjects with a B3 grade minimum, or the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with 300 points or above and at least 5 relevant subjects at grade C4 or above
Science Foundation Year (progressing to undergraduate courses in biology, chemistry and other science-related courses) West African Examination Certificate, achieving at least five subjects with a B3 grade minimum or the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with 300 points or above and at least 5 relevant subjects at grade C4 or above

Please note that this course does not progress to an undergraduate degree in medicine.

Undergraduate entry requirements

To be considered forÌýa place onÌýone of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:

High grades in UK A levels
Between 28 and 38 points in the International Baccalaureate (IB)
A recognised foundation year programme

Postgraduate entry requirements

MastersÌýprogrammes Bachelors degree awarded by a recognised Nigerian university or an equivalent professional qualification approved by the University

UK 1st equivalent: GPA 4.5
UK 2:1 equivalent: GPA 3.5 - 3.2 depending on awarding institution.
PhD programmes

Good grades in bachelors and masters degrees awarded by a recognised university,Ìýand a strong research proposal.

English language entry requirements

You will need to be able toÌýdemonstrateÌýthe requiredÌýlevel of English language proficiency.ÌýWe require a letter from the student's previous institution to confirm they teach in English combined with the student having achieved at least West African Examination Council (WAEC), West African Secondary School Certificate with English Grade C6 or above.
