The explosive behaviour of neutron stars with strong magnetic fields
I will review current observational and modelling results on neutron stars with strong magnetic fields (aka magnetars): in particular their outburst activity, their predicted evolution, and birth. Furthermore, I will present new discoveries that strengthen somehow the relation between magnetars and other neutron star classes.
